For some organisations, this work is handled internally. Others use third-party remote hands for installing hardware into racks, connecting systems, optimising, and setting up infrastructure.

Our installation and set-up services can fully support any stage of deployment.

Whether it’s basic hardware handling and troubleshooting, or full rack integration, we help ensure systems are installed expertly, precisely, and optimised perfectly for their use case.

Practical support where it’s needed

Every solution and environment is different. From deployments in large on-premise data centres and colocation facilities to smaller IT environments and manufacturing sites, we can provide installation and support services across a range of settings. This may involve sending our own in-house engineers or working through a trusted partner network to support deployments.

The aim is simple: make sure the infrastructure arrives and is installed properly, without adding complexity to your team’s workload.

The full end-to-end solution

Installation support can range from straightforward rack and stack tasks to complete hardware integration, cabling and testing. Typical activities include:

  • Installation planning, including rack layouts, equipment positioning and connectivity requirements.
  • Unpacking equipment, inspecting deliveries and removing shipping materials.
  • Rack and stack installation of servers, storage and networking equipment.
  • Power connections, including connection to existing rack power distribution.
  • Copper and fibre optic cable installation, patching, routing and dressing.
  • Professional cable labelling and end-to-end port documentation.
  • Initial power-on checks and validation of physical network connectivity.
  • Preparation of installation records and handover documentation.

Expert Installation Services

Our installation services are designed to be flexible and meet a broad range of deliverables.

You may need support installing a single system, deploying a rack of servers, or integrating multiple systems into an existing environment.

Whatever the task, we work with you to determine the correct level of involvement, ensuring the deployment runs seamlessly without disrupting any wider infrastructure operations.

Comprehensive server builds, stress tests and configuration

Before hardware is shipped to its end location hardware is passed through our in-house technical team to give customers and installers full confidence and control.

This ensures all infrastructure is operating at its best, has no faults, and is configured optimally for the end user’s needs.

Server Builds

Any additional hardware such as memory, NIC’s, GPU’s or storage can be installed and tested.

Information Capture

Important details such as serial numbers, Mac addresses, and product information are recorded.

Stress tests

Servers and storage devices undergo 12-hour stress tests to ensure they are working optimally. Data is then checked to ensure that the servers will perform as expected under full load.

Configuration

Any additional configurations such as BIOS and network settings can be amended or alternative operating systems installed.

Global deployment capability

Our team regularly supports infrastructure deployments across a range of national and international locations.

Where required, we work through a trusted network of established and professional remote hands partners to provide installation services beyond the UK and Europe, ensuring customers can receive consistent support regardless of where systems are deployed.

Ready for the next stage

Once installation is complete, systems are ready to move into configuration, validation and then operational use.

If you require ongoing assistance after deployment, our support services can help maintain, optimise and troubleshoot any issues as the infrastructure moves into production.

Speak to the team

If you’re planning a new deployment or require support installing infrastructure into any new environment, our team can help ensure it’s production-ready and installed to precise requirements, whilst meeting any deadlines you may have.
